DHW partner Dan Gibson was a speaker at two recent North Carolina Bar Association CLE programs focused on litigation strategy and the responsible use of emerging technology in legal practice.

On May 17, Dan presented Responsibly Using Artificial Intelligence in Litigation, offering practical guidance on leveraging AI to enhance legal research and writing. The session explored key AI tools, examined attorneys’ ethical obligations, and provided best practices for using AI to increase efficiency and deliver exceptional client value.

Dan also co-presented Preserving Error in Trial Courts at the 2025 Litigation Section Annual Program on May 22. This session focused on the critical steps attorneys must take to preserve issues for appeal—from timely objections to ensuring the trial record is properly prepared.
