John Bircher Has Been Appointed to the Board of Directors for the National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees
Join us in congratulating our own John Bircher for being appointed to the Board of Directors for the National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees!
The National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees is the voice of the Chapter 7 and Subchapter V Bankruptcy Trustee community, serving their interests and needs through education, communication, and promotion of the profession.
NABT is a nonprofit association formed in 1982 to address the needs of Chapter 7 bankruptcy trustees. Since then, the focus of the organization has expanded to include Chapter 11 and Subchapter V trustees. NABT continues to promote the effectiveness of the bankruptcy system as a whole.
Membership in NABT is open to chapter 7 and subchapter V trustees and their staff, judges, employees of the Office of the U.S. Trustee, and associated professionals and businesses. Our associate members include attorneys, accountants, auctioneers, appraisers, insurance agents, software providers and bankers.
The business of the Association is managed by a volunteer Board of Directors in accordance with the Association’s bylaws and is elected by the Trustee Members of NABT. Officers are designated by the Board of Directors at the annual meeting. Honorary Board Members are designated by the Board of Directors and serve as non-voting members. The Executive Director and NABT staff are responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Association.
Congratulations, John!
