We’re proud to share that John Bircher was a speaker at the 2024 National Creditors Bar Association (NCBA) Annual Conference, held in New Orleans. The NCBA, a trade association dedicated to creditors’ rights attorneys, hosted this event to foster education and professional development in the field.

John led a session titled “Exemptions in Bankruptcy: A Multistate Overview,” providing a comprehensive look at the structure and function of 11 U.S.C. 522. His presentation covered key topics such as exemption limits, common objections to a debtor’s exemption claims, and judicial lien avoidance under 11 U.S.C. 522(f). Attendees also benefited from a comparative review of exemption laws across three states, gaining valuable insights for handling multistate bankruptcy cases.
