His one-year term began on August 1, 2026, and will continue through July 31, 2027.

The Board of Legal Specialization oversees North Carolina’s legal specialization program, which recognizes attorneys who have demonstrated exceptional knowledge, experience, and professionalism in their certified practice areas. As Vice Chair, John will help guide the Board’s efforts to uphold the high standards of board certification and promote excellence within the legal profession.
